Endless mode guide
Quick answer
Endless mode is the survival score attack: keep defusing as difficulty pressure mounts, rotating the information split (Blind/Mute/Deaf) as fatigue sets in. Exact scaling, wave counts, and score rules are not published on Steam — treat community numbers as unverified.
- Steam-confirmed: Campaign, Endless, and Custom are the three modes.
- Endless is the natural home for the communication vocabulary — speed kills ambiguity.
- Role rotation matters more than in Campaign: fatigue turns gestures sloppy.
Steam lists three modes for BOMBANANA: Campaign, Endless, and Custom. Endless is the score chase — the same three-role defusal under mounting pressure. Here is how to pace it and what stays Unknown.
- One of three Steam-listed modes: Campaign (30 levels), Endless, Custom.
- Built for score chasing under pressure — the endgame of the defusal loop.
- Wave structure, scaling numbers, and scoring rules: Unknown on Steam — confirm in-client.
- Best practiced after the Campaign prologue teaches the verbs (see beginner guide).
What Endless asks of a trio
Campaign paces you — 30 levels with arcs and breathing room. Endless removes the ceiling: the value is in how long your communication system holds up when speed stops being optional. Runs fail the way long shifts fail: gestures get lazy, callouts lose their anchors, and the bomb punishes the drift. Rotate roles on a schedule (every N modules, agree in the lobby) so no one monkey's fatigue becomes the run's ceiling.
Pacing and practice
Treat your first Endless sessions as communication drills, not record attempts: fix a role-rotation interval, keep the two-person handshake on every action even at speed, and end sessions while the vocabulary is still clean — muscle memory built sloppy stays sloppy. The manual page covers the in-game disposal manual Endless leans on; the levels page covers Campaign's structure for comparison.
What we will not invent
No wave tables, no scaling formulas, no leaderboard meta — Steam publishes none of it and patches would move the numbers anyway. When official patch notes document Endless specifics, this page updates with dated sources.
