BOMBANANA Blind Monkey guide

Blind Monkey — quick answer

You cut, press, and hold on the bomb, but you never know what you are touching. Mute reads the manual, Deaf watches the bomb, and you translate their callouts into exact physical actions — by position and timing, never by color.

  • You can touch the bomb; you cannot see colors or any screen.
  • Teammates guide you with positions and timings — 'third wire from the left', not 'the blue one'.
  • Colorblind mode does not fix this role: it is an information split, not a display issue.

The Blind Monkey is the only player who can physically touch the bomb — and the only one who cannot see its colors or screens. Your teammates are your eyes; your job is to turn their words into careful hands.

  • Role split: you act on the bomb; Mute knows what to do; Deaf sees what happens.
  • Speak in positions, durations, and counts — anchor every action to something physical you can feel or count.
  • Do nothing on vague callouts. A 'wait' is cheaper than a wrong cut.
  • Announce your own actions out loud so Deaf can watch and confirm results.
  • Colorblind mode does not help Blind — see the colorblind page for what it actually changes.

Your job in one sentence

You are the hands of a trio brain: Mute is the memory (the manual), Deaf is the eyes (the bomb and gestures), and you are the only pair of hands allowed on the device. Everything you do starts with someone else's information — your skill is converting words into precise, patient touches.

Callout discipline: what to demand from your team

Agree on a position language before the first module: number the wires left-to-right, name the edges of the device (near / far, top / bottom), and count seconds out loud together. 'Cut the second wire from the left, after I say go' always beats 'the short one'. If a callout is ambiguous, freeze and ask for a re-anchor — the round timer punishes bad vocabulary more than it punishes caution.

Close the loop every action: say what you are about to do, do it, then say what you felt (a click, a toggle, nothing). Deaf Monkey watches the bomb's reaction and confirms or calls a stop — that two-person handshake on every step is what keeps three nervous monkeys alive.

The three classic Blind Monkey mistakes

Acting on half information: 'the red one' is not a callout, it is a firework. Make the team re-anchor to positions you can verify by touch. Rushing on a timer: panic speed kills more runs than the bomb's difficulty does — steady hands, loud counts. And going quiet: if you stop narrating, Deaf loses the ability to catch a wrong move, and the information split breaks exactly where it is weakest.

Role fit check

Blind suits players who stay calm while doing nothing, trust their team, and enjoy being the surgeon on voice comms. If you need to see results to feel in control, you will fight the role all night — take Mute or Deaf instead. Rotate roles across Campaign's 30 levels so nobody gets stuck as the permanent pair of hands.
